Xiaomi and Redmi seem to release new smartphones every week. Again three models were presented – at least for the Chinese home market. As is so often the case, it makes sense to submit the models for the European market in a few weeks. The new models are named Redmi Note 11 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro +.
The Redmi 11 Pro and the Redmi 11 Pro + rely on MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 inside. Up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage space are available. The two Pro models come with an AMOLED panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate or 360 Hz touch sampling rate. The two Pro models also have a 108-megapixel sensor – 12 megapixels are achieved with pixel binning. The sensor for the main camera is the Samsung HM2.
Redmi Note 11 Series
Xiaomi itself has again published further teasers that more or less confirm additional details about the features of the Redmi Note 11 Smartphones. The focus is particularly on 120-watt charging, which will be a novelty for this price range.
High-priced models from Apple and Samsung are far behind, even the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra will, according to the latest rumors, “only” charge with a maximum of 45 watts. With the Find X3 Lite, Oppo offers a Smartphone with 65 watts in the mid-range, and One Plus has the Nord 2 (test) – also with up to 65 watts.
It remains to be seen whether the Redmi Note 11, like the Xiaomi 11T Pro (test), is full in under 20 minutes. As already suspected, only the Note 11 Pro + will probably receive this charging technology. The new teasers, however, reveal a battery size of 4,500 mAh, not 5,000 mAh as assumed.
5G in Several Models
The Redmi Note 11 Pro is said to have a Dimensity 920 processor. In addition, a 120 Hz fast OLED display again. The regular Redmi Note 11, on the other hand, has a Dimsenity 810 and a 120 Hz fast LC display, according to the supposed insider. Other differences lie in the details, which include the cameras, and key data such as the speed of fast charging.
This time it could be that several models are equipped with 5G and an explicit 5G model like the Redmi Note 10 5G is therefore obsolete. The new Smartphone will probably be launched within the next four months in China and again in Europe in spring 2022. We expect more leaks by then.

Also newly presented: The Redmi Watch 2 – a smartwatch with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display as well as GPS & Co., various fitness modes, and a blood oxygen sensor. NFC is also involved. The battery is supposed to last up to 12 days of standby. Cost point? Almost-55 Euros. In addition, with the Redmi Buds 3 Lite you have new TWS headphones on the display. At 13 euros, the focus here is clearly on the price. The connection to the smartphone is via Bluetooth 5.2 and the battery – including the charging case with USB-C – should last up to 18 hours.
